What you are actually paying for
Two things, and they are worth separating.
Volume. A hunt reads across everything Hoo has fetched, filters it to your country, skills, hours and budget, and writes you a small number of specific things to do. The allowance is how many of those you get a month, and it resets on the 1st.
Exclusivity. When Hoo hands you a signal, it is taken off the table for everybody else on Hoostle for as long as your plan says. Act on it, mark it sent, and it is yours until you finish with it. That is the part a competitor cannot copy without also having watched the source since June, and it is the reason the tiers differ in hold length and slot count rather than only in volume.
The free tier is not crippled. An hour is genuinely long enough to read a card, click through to the source and send the message, which is the entire intended action.
Questions people actually ask
Is there an annual plan?
No, and there is not going to be one. The product is a monthly allowance, so an annual subscription to it would be a shape mismatch with exactly one predictable question and no good answer. Monthly also keeps cancellation honest: the worst case for you is one month.
What happens if I cancel?
You keep everything your plan gives you until the end of the period you already paid for, and we tell you the date. You are not billed again. Nothing you have already found is taken away.
What happens if my card fails?
Nothing, that day. Your issuer is retried over the following weeks and you keep your plan while that happens. Only when those attempts have finished without a payment does the account return to the free tier.
Do I need a card to start?
No. The free tier is free permanently and does not ask for one.
